We are most like Christ when our motivation and focus is serving others. We are least like Him when we are thinking of ourselves. God doesn’t despise greatness, but He resists pride. Jesus came to redefine what greatness really is. Churches that fail to preach on servanthood will fail to make true disciples – true Christ-followers. You can’t follow Christ without serving others. You can believe in Christ, but you can’t follow His example without serving others.
